So anyways.........

I've been talking about weight loss a lot, so now I think it's time to talk about something else that I enjoy, READING!!!!!!

I'm so into cozy mysteries right now it's insane!!! Last week I read 3 books! That's a lot for me LOL. I read Donut Shop mystery series (well all that's out right now), and yes I'm such a nerd, I put all the release dates for the new books I want that are coming out in my phone for reminder alerts LOL

Interested or committed?

I stole this from a message board I frequent

If you're "Interested" in losing weight...
... You stick with it only until something better comes along (such as doughnuts)
... How you feel determines your outcome. If you don't 'feel like it', you stop your efforts.
... You need to see results. When the scale doesn't move, you lose your motivation.
... You blame everything else (people, travel, circumstances) for your struggles with staying on program.
... Whenever you face challenges in life, you give up and plan you'll start your program again tomorrow.

~~HOWEVER:

If you're "Committed" to losing weight...
... Nothing stops your efforts. You stick with your program, "no matter what."
... Emotions don't control your actions. You stay on track even when you don't feel like it.
... Your motivation isn't linked to the scale. You assume that if you stay motivated and work hard, you'll eventually see results.
... You don't depend on other people for your success. You know it's up to you, not them.
... A bad day or a lot of challenges don't affect your efforts. You keep going in spite of it.

** So which one are you? "Interested or Committed"??

YEAH!!! I have my first follower

I was on the message boards that I frequent often. It makes me feel more accountable to myself, and if I'm tempted to "cheat" on my diet I go there and it USUALLY helps.

So tonight I went to the message board (because my Sat nights are oh so thrilling LOL, which is great, I'm not a party girl AT ALL, I'd rather go to Chili's and chill with a few friends, having a few drinks, than be at a bar where I have to scream to be heard), and a member of the message board asked if anyone had blogs, so I posted a link to mine, and now she's following me. I have my own personal stalker LOL (it's all good, I'm just being a smart ass, the more followers the better).

Do you have to be Catholic to celebrate Lent?

So today I was reading some posts on a message board that I frequent often, and people were talking about what they were giving up for Lent. So I posted something and my friend posted back that since she's not Catholic she doesn't give anything up.

That got me thinking, I know people can do what they want, celebrate what they want ect. But do only Catholics give up something for Lent?

I'm not Catholic, but I've decided that for Lent, and for my health LOL, that I'm going to give up excuses for why I'm only half assing my attempts to lose weight. There is no excuse for this anymore.

They say it takes 2 weeks to make a habit, so I have 40 days to turn my half ass attempt at weight loss into a full ass weight loss. I know I won't lose 30 lbs in 40 days, maybe if I was on The Biggest Loser, but that wouldn't be healthy for me.

I've been doing a weight loss program, and while I've lost 7lbs so far, it's been slow. I do have to say I'd rather the scale show 7lb loss than a 7lb gain though, so for that I'm happy. And last week I measured myself, and I have lost 2.5 inches total, again not a lot, but better than putting 2.5 inches on.

So what are you giving up for Lent?

Hmmm a blog....now what?

I'd been thinking awhile about starting a blog. So here it is LOL. Now what? I'm a lot of different things, I'm a wife, but I can't write about my marriage all day, for one we are your normal married with 2 kids couple. Kevin works, I stay home with the kids. We are your typical middle class family.

I'm a mom, and while I enjoy talking about my kids, I'm sure not everyone wants to hear about them 24/7.

I have a lot of different hobbies, but my ABC disease (as Kevin calls my OCD, ADD, ADHD ect), (I've never been officially diagnosed with it from a professional, but I'm pretty sure I have a lot of signs from each one, but I also don't want to be a drugged person, besides, it's not that bad, I'm sure Kevin would beg to differ LOL).

I'm a couponer, not as extreme as lot of people who's blogs I follow, but I do ok. But there's enough coupon blogs out there to devote just to that.

I love to read, but again a blog just about the books I'm reading would be boring.

And I'm really wanting to lose weight, about 30 lbs.

So I guess this blog will be a little bit of everything. Maybe like Facebook, only more in depth.

Who knows where this blog will take me, maybe I'll get paid one day to write it LOL (doubt it). Until than let's just go with the flow.
